The Alliance for Fair Election and Democracy (AFED) is a platform of nationally reputed civil society organizations, united by a shared commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and public confidence in Bangladesh’s electoral process.

Grounded in citizens’ aspirations and civic interests, AFED was formed to strengthen independent election monitoring, advocate for reform, and promote accountability within the electoral system. The Alliance works to reinforce the collective role of civil society in advancing inclusive, credible, and democratic governance.

AFED’s core objective is to promote legal and institutional frameworks that ensure a fair, impartial, and participatory electoral process. With a focus on the upcoming national elections, AFED supports credible elections, inclusive participation, and informed citizen engagement.
