Today 9 February, AFED presented its pre-election statement in a press conference organised at 11 am in the National Press Club.
The statement covered seven areas:
• Election preparations
• Nomination of candidates
• Voter education and information
• Electoral campaign
• Electoral violence and intimidations
• Inclusion of marginalised groups
• Citizen observation
AFED long-term observers have been following the electoral process since 28 December. We have observed the campaign and met with Election Commission officials and party and candidate teams across 175 constituencies in Bangladesh.
